Elk Grove's Flatland Brewing Celebrating 2nd Anniversary With Special Events

With a pedigree that can lay claim to the start of the genesis of craft beer brewing in Elk Grove, Flatland Brewing will be celebrating its second anniversary this weekend with a host of events.

Flatland Brewing took over the operations of Handcrafting Brewing, which was a brewer and supplier to home brewers, just over two years ago by Andrew Mohsenzadegan. In the two years since it opened, Flatland has been at the forefront of the growing micro-brewing movement in Elk Grove.

Located on Survey Road in south Elk Grove, Mohsenzadegan, along with co-owner/Event Coordinator Michelle Mohsenzadegan, and his staff  have grown the business and built a loyal following of beer lovers in the region.  

"We are thrilled to be at two years already," Andrew Mohsenzadegan, said. "It’s unbelievable how quickly it’s gone."

As with many other craft brewers, Flatland Brewing regularly rotates its offering of beer. For the second anniversary the current menu includes 11 different brews ranging from the lighter Pilsnerish with an alcohol content of 5.2% to the more robust Tiny Bubble with a 10.5% content..

Along with the rotating list of brews, a variety of food trucks can be found during their hours of operation.

"We would not be where we are without the support and of Elk Grove and the greater Sacramento area," Mohsenzadegan said. "We are honestly just thankful for a community that allows us to experiment and share our passion."

FRIDAY 3-9 p.m.:

Food - Bella Familia Wood Fired Pizza.

Murk Diggler - Crushable Hazy IPA. 6.2%. Mosaic cryo, Citra hops. Available in house and to go (crowlers).

SATURDAY 12-9 p.m.:

Maple Bar - Barleywine. Collaboration with Claimstake Brewing.

Food: Arlington Brothers.

SUNDAY 12-6 p.m.:

Food - Ahuevo.
