Search Warrants Served on 4 Elk Grove Residences, Suspects Arrested, 375 Marijuana Plants Seized

Elk Grove Police's Street Crime Unit served four search warrants that resulted in the arrest of two suspects.

At 7 a.m. on Wednesday, January 10, search warrants were served on the 9500 block of Surritt Way; the 9500 block of Clarke Farms Drive; 9900 block of Pianella Way; and the 10200 block of Bolo Court related to an active marijuana growing operation. During the search, police seized over 375 plants and 25 pounds of processed marijuana.

Two suspects, both of Elk Grove, Shuixiu Zheng, 62, and Yan Zhang (pictured above), 29, were arrested. Zheng was issued a citation and released, while Zhang was booked into the county jail and remains in custody ineligible for release with arraignment scheduled for Friday, January 12.
