Marijuana Grow Operation Raided, Suspect Arrested by Elk Grove Police

A man suspected of operating a marijuana grow operation in Elk Grove is in custody at the Sacramento County Jail.

At 9 a.m. on Wednesday April 25, officers from the EGPD's street crime unit served a search warrant on the 8700 block of Gladiola Way in north Elk Grove was executed. The search led to the discovery of over 200 plants, and indicia indicative of marijuana sales.

Jian Zheng, 34, was arrested and booked into the county jail where he is charged with one felony and two misdemeanors and is not eligible for bail.  Arraignment will be on Friday, April 27.
