Pot Processing Operation Busted by Elk Grove Police, 20 Pounds of Pot, 2 Firearms Confiscated

Following the execution of a search warrant, two suspects were arrested by Elk Grove Police on suspicion of operating an illegal marijuana processing operation.  

At 7 a.m. on Wednesday, April 18 officers from the EGPD's street crimes unit served the warrant on a residence on the 9000 block of Grant Line Road. The search led to the discovery of 20 pounds of processed marijuana, 28 pounds of marijuana plant clippings that are reportedly used to produce concentrated cannabis, and two firearms. 

Two suspects, Ubaidalla Zarie, 35, and Gary Gill, 31, both of Elk Grove were arrested and booked in the Sacramento County Jail. Neither is eligible for bail and arraignment be held on Friday, April 20.
