UC Extension Services holding talks for gardeners




With spring plant just around the corner, the Universit of California Extension Service will host mini-talks on several topics of interest to gardeners.

WHAT: Free Workshop at the Horticulture Center

At 10 a.m., the UCCE Master Gardeners will host mini-talks on:
Annual and perennial herbs
Cane pruning grapes
Building a hot compost pile
Demonstrations throughout the morning:
Pruning fruit trees and ornamental grasses; Starting new berry plants by tip rooting cane berries and layering blueberries; Planning for late winter and early spring vegetables; Dividing and transplanting strawberry crowns;  Bring your gardening questions to the Ask the Master Gardener table.

The Master Gardeners 2019 Gardening and Preserving Guide and Calendars will be available for $10, including sales tax.

Located outside – rain or shine.
