Volunteers urged to join CCSD's JustServe, Community Day of Service

From the Cosumnes Community Services District |

You can help protect natural resources and enhance the quality of life in the community by joining Cosumnes Community Services District (CSD) and JustServe for the Community Day of Service on Saturday, April 13.

Hundreds of volunteers will be joining together on this day to clean and beautify the landscape of their community’s parks and trails. The annual event will include various creek clean-up, park enhancement and playground beautification projects in Elk Grove.  Projects begin at 8 a.m.

Community Day of Service is a perfect opportunity for students to earn community service credits and for people of all ages to give back to the community.

All volunteers must sign a Hold Harmless Agreement which will be provided on-site or can be downloaded at www.yourcsd.com/volunteer. Volunteers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.  Projects may require volunteers to bring gloves, a wheelbarrow, or other tools.

After completing the morning’s work, volunteers are invited to attend an appreciation picnic at Rotary Grove in Elk Grove Regional Park.

To volunteer for one of the spring clean-up projects, click the sign-up link at www.yourcsd.com/volunteer.

Individuals, families and service groups are welcome. If you are forming a large group or need additional information, please contact Heather Shortino at 916-405-5300.
