Suspected prowler on probation arrested by Elk Grove Police, resisted arrest



A probationer was arrested by Elk Grove Police after receiving a call of suspicious activity.

Just before 4 a.m. on Wednesday, May 8, police received a report of suspicious activity on the 8800 block Wheelton. Responding officers located Steven Kim, 30, of Sacramento, hiding in a side yard of a residence. 

After Kim allegedly refused to follow instructions, he attempted to flee. Officers were able to prevent him from fleeing and Kim then resisted the officers who were able to detain him.  

Records revealed that Kim was on probation. Kim is in custody at the county jail for probation violation and resisting arrest with arraignment set for Friday, May 10.
