Impaired driver arrested by Elk Grove Police, allegedly found with loaded firearm

An Elk Grove man was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and possession of a concealed weapon.

Just after 10 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10, Elk Grove Police officers contacted Andre Leon Porter, 51 on the 5200 block of Orchid Ranch Court after responding to a call for service. Parker was walking away from the parked car upon the officer's arrival.

After detaining Porter, who allegedly displayed objective signs of impairment, a search of his vehicle led to the discovery of a loaded concealed firearm. Porter was arrested and but released from custody.
