Victim threatened at gunpoint in Elk Grove hotel, suspect in custody



A Perris, Calif. man is being held on $100,000 bail at the Sacramento County Jail after he allegedly pointed a gun a person in an Elk Grove hotel.

According to Elk Grove Police, Edgar Manzo, 29 was in the hallway of the hotel on Longport Court on Elk Grove's westside on the evening of Friday, August 9 when he allegedly brandished his firearm at the victim. Responding officers detained Manzo.

A search of Manzo's room led to the discovery of a large-capacity magazine, and ammunition. A convicted felon, Mazon is prohibited from possessing firearms and ammunition. 

Manzo's arraignment is on Tuesday, August 13.
