In a well-attended ceremony this afternoon at Creekside Community Church in Elk Grove, Timothy Albright was sworn in as the fourth Chief of the Elk Grove Police Department. Albright is a 26-year law enforcement professional who has been with the department since its 2006 founding and previously held the rank of captain.

Albright replaces Bryan Noblett who announced his retirement last spring and whose service concluded last week. Elk Grove city manager Jason Behrmann selected Albright following a nationwide search.

Among the several dignitaries attending the function was Sacramento County District Attorney Ann Marie Schubert, former Sacramento County Sheriff John McGinness, and Sacramento Police Chief Daniel Hahn. All five members of the Elk Grove city council attended.

Below is a video of some of Albright's comments after being pinned by his family and sworn-in by Noblett.
