Police arrest 7 suspects in Elk Grove on domestic violence charges, violation of protective order

Even though October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Elk Grove Police several six suspects for domestic violence and one for violation of a protective order on Saturday and Sunday on those charges.

On Saturday the following domestic violence suspects were taken into custody:
  • John Caroza, 35, of Tracy. Allegedly took his victim's car keys after the victim was hit and pushed to the ground
  • Shalveen Singh, 37, of Sacramento. Singh, who is in probation, allegedly violated a protective order and was found in possession of narcotic paraphernalia. Singh is custody with arraignment on Wednesday, October 16.
  • Cameron Towns, 27, of Sacramento. Along with the domestic violence charges, responding police officers found Towns had an outstanding arrest warrant. 
  • Brene Ely, 25 of Elk Grove.

The following suspects were arrested on Sunday:
  • Marlo Tramel Lee, 40, of Sacramento. Lee remains in custody on two felony charges after allegedly striking his victim's head on a door frame. The victim sustained injuries. Arraignment is on Wednesday, October 16.
  • Hasani Wright, 21, of Sacramento. Wright allegedly pulled the hair, kicked and kicked his victim as they tried hiding under a table. The victim sustained injuries. Wright is in custody and will be arraigned on Wednesday, October 16.
  • Jennifer McCain, 48, of Elk Grove. McCain is in custody but will be released on Monday, October 14. Her next court appearance in on Monday, October 21.
