An Elk Grove man who is on parole is being held ineligible for release at the county jail after he allegedly punched and injured an Elk Grove Police officer.

On the late morning of Sunday, December 15 police officers responded to a disturbance on the 8200 block of Laguna Boulevard. Responding officers located Dusty Wolfe, 31, and attempted to detain him.

Wolfe reportedly disobeyed commands, attempted to flee and when officers attempted to detain him, he resisted and punched one of the officers in the head. The punch resulted in a visible injury.

After additional officers arrived, Wolfe was taken into custody.
