Advisory issued by Elk Grove Police - Five tire thefts in two days



This morning the Elk Grove Police department has issued an advisory to vehicle owners after five sets of tires were stolen over a two-day span.

The thefts occurred in the police department's eat 2 area, which is in the Laguna Bruceville area. Officers are aware of the activity and the public is asked to contact police dispatchers at (916) 714-5115 to report any suspicious activities.

Police have offered these safety tips: 
1. Park your car in a closed garage whenever you can
2. Install a car alarm that includes sensors that attach to the wheels

3. Turn your wheels when parking
4. Use wheel locks on each wheel, including your spare
