Elk Grove News Podcast - Construction professional discusses Elk Grove District56 aquatics center lawsuit

The District56 aquatics center has become something of a sore point for the city of Elk Grove. Since its earliest planning stages, the project has been problematic.

The facility was over budget and open one year late. We have a discussion with David Anderson who is speaking out on behalf of one of the defendants. In our conversation, Anderson asserts among other things that the city council is not being told the whole story.

I haven't been as intrigued by this gripping tale of jurisprudence drama since the O.J. Simpson trial!

Luckily, in this case no one got killed, but watch for those middle-of-the-night mysteriously vacated office cubicles that will inevitably pop up at City Hall as the case unfolds.

As the City frantically rushed to complete District56 in time for the Amgen Tour of California bike race, it sounds like the City threw caution at the wind and the concrete went south! Gone were the ESPN helicopters, international press coverage, and the wow factor of the City's featured landmark. Instead we got defective walkways and egg on some faces.

If the trowel doesn't fit, you must acquit!
