Suspect wanted in connection to West Sacramento murder arrested in Elk Grove

One of three suspects wanted in connection with a West Sacramento murder was arrested with the assistance of the Elk Grove Police.
Two of the suspects were arrested yesterday in Elk Grove and Sacramento. The third suspect, a 16-year old, turned himself in to West Sacramento Police yesterday.
The three suspects were wanted in connection with a Saturday night shooting in West Sacramento. Officers responded to reports of gunfire near Clarksburg Trail.
Responding officers located a 16-year old female victim who suffered a fatal gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Investigators believe that the shooting stemmed from a marijuana sale transaction between the parties. The weapon believed to be used was recovered and the investigation is ongoing.
