'I like Mike' - Elk Grove politician adds name to list of local elected officials endorsing Bloomberg

As part of Mike Bloomberg's media saturation in his campaign for the Democratic presidential nomination, he has managed to secure many endorsements before even appearing on a primary ballot. In a press release issued today, one Elk Grove elected official added their name to the list.

That elected official is Elk Grove Unified School District Trustee Bobby Singh-Allen who is one of 11 new endorsements for the former mayor of New York City. The campaign statement said Singh-Allen and the other 10 joined over 100 current and former election officer holders in California.

The statement noted the Bloomberg campaign is placing several targeted local advertisements that feature various officials. Although it is not known if Singh-Allen will be featured, there will be ads run in the Bay Area featuring San Francisco Mayor London Breed and two in Southern California featuring Representatives Harley Rouda and Scott Peters.

Although Bloomberg's first ballot appearance will be on next week's Super Tuesday, his multi-million advertising campaign has pushed his candidacy to the upper echelons of the Democratic candidates competing to challenge Trump in November.

You have to give Ms. Singh-Allen credit for having chutzpah. It wasn't that long ago she was closely aligned with Republicans like former city council member Ms. Sophia Scherman. Now not only has she shifted with the political winds in Elk Grove and running to be a Democratic delegate, but is endorsing Mr. Bloomberg. Yes, she has chutzpah and is nothing if not opportunistic.
