Recent mailers by District 3 candidates Amandeep Singh and Kevin Spease took unique approaches in their appeal to voters while Mayor Steve Ly made a direct appeal to women voters in the hotly contested mayoral race.
Steve Ly
In an effort to counter claims by three women Elk Grove elected officials who claimed he has politically harassed them, Ly sent a mailer directly addressed to women voters. In his piece distributed this week, Ly's wife appears on one side, and on the other are several of his women supporters framed by a background photo and quote from Eleanor Roosevelt.

Amandeep Singh
In his current mailer called "In Elk Grove some things should...STOP," the Elk Grove City Council District 3 candidate makes multiple appeals. Among them are civility, no backroom deals, and controlling "runaway housing growth."
Kevin Spease
District 3 candidate Spease took a lighthearted approach in his current mailer by the use of cartoon images. In a bit of election-year humor, the mailer includes an animated image of the candidate with an asterisk noting "This is a cartoon, not the real picture of Kevin Spease."
