Jones maintains lead over Ashby in District 8 State Senate Race

Vote tallies released this afternoon by Sacramento County Voters Registration and Elections show Dave Jones maintaining a near identical percentage lead over Angelique Ashby is the District 8 California State Senate race.

Jones remains in first first place with 45,211 votes for 46.56-percent. Tallies released last Friday had Jones with 36,437 votes for 46.55-percent.

With almost identical percentages as last Friday, Ashby has 41.32-percent with 40,126 votes. On Friday Ashby 32,672 votes for 41.74-percent.

The third Democrat in the race, Rafa Garcia has 11,526 votes for 11.87-percent which was down slights from his Friday's total of 11.55-percent. 

Even uncounted ballots remain, Jones and Ashby will advance to the November general election. The next vote tally will be released on Friday, June 17.
