In his first mailer for the November election, California Assembly District 10 candidate Eric Guerra addresses an issue his opponent dogged him with during the primary election.

Guerra, a Sacramento City Councilmember, addresses homelessness in the four-page mailer that arrived yesterday. During the primary, opponent Elk Grove City Councilmember Stephanie Nguyen accused Guerra of not addressing homelessness, especially a large encampment in his district.
Guerra's mailer is highlighted by a picture of an encampment saying, "It's Just Not OK." Inside it says Guerra "helped clear the massive encampment on Stockton Blvd."
The mailer also highlights Guerra's role in transforming the site into the location of affordable 200-apartment development. The piece also features a palette of logos from organizations that have endorsed Guerra's candidacy.
The mailer could indicate one of the tactics the Guerra campaign will use against Nguyen. While Nguyen harshly criticized Guerra for Sacramento's homeless problem, Guerra could point out Nguyen's recent vote rejecting a supportive housing development in Elk Grove to transition people out of homelessness.
