Hume supporters say Moreno’s vision is ‘more encampments, higher taxes’ says Hume supporters

A mailer supporting Republican Sacramento County Supervisor District 5 candidate Pat Hume has characterized his opponent as encouraging higher taxes and increased homelessness.

Funded by the National and California Realtors’ Associations, the headline says, “Politician Jaclyn Moreno’s Vision for Sac County: More Encampments, Higher Taxes.” This mailer appears to target Democratic voters.

Moreno is a Democratic Director for the Cosumnes Community Services District, and Hume is an Elk Grove City Councilmember.

The piece claims that if Moreno is elected, it could lead to more encampments near schools, libraries, and levees. Also, it says she voted for higher property taxes and supports a “massive healthcare tax.”
