With less than two weeks until voting closes, only 8 percent of ballots returned countywide



According to information compiled by Political Data Inc., only eight percent of ballots have been returned to the Sacramento County Voter Registration and Elections as of October 25. 



Of the 863,834 ballots mailed to registered voters in Sacramento County, 65,653 have been received by elections officials. Of those ballots, 50 percent, 32,859 are from Democratic voters, 28 percent, 18,622 from Republican, and 22 percent, 14,172 from independent and other parties. 

The highest return rate has been the 65+ who are at 17 percent. The lowest is the 18 to 34-year-old group percent with three percent.

Republican return rates are slightly outpacing Democratic voters by nine to eight percent.
