Hume leads Moreno by 714 votes in Sacramento County Board of Supervisors District 5

Vote tallies released this afternoon show Pat Hume's lead over Jaclyn Moreno narrowing.

According to Sacramento County Voters Registration and Elections, Republican Hume has 29,628 votes for 50.61 percent. Democrat Jaclyn Moreno has 28,984 votes for 49.39 percent.

In the tallies released on Tuesday, November 15, Hume had a lead of 1,007 votes. With today's release, Hume's lead has shrunk to 714 votes.

Voter turnout in Sacramento County is about 46 percent. With 66,168 votes counted, it is estimated, including undervotes, there are about 21,000 uncounted ballots in this race.

While Hume still maintains a lead, Moreno can take the lead. However, Moreno would need at least 52 percent of the remaining ballots to overtake Hume.
