As part of our service to the community, ElkGroveNews.net has since its inception sought to provide relevant community information for our readers.
This has included our links to Elk Grove churches and locally owned businesses and restaurants.
Recently we have added a link to community events. All community organizations are welcome and encouraged to send us their events and we will gladly post them.
With regards to our restaurant links, we believe we offer the most current links to locally owned restaurants. We recently checked several of the national dining guides and without fail they had several dining establishments in Elk Grove that sadly are no longer with us.
Furthermore, they were often nothing more than a list of our chain restaurants. We don't aim to be big, just thorough in our universe.
We make the distinction of locally owned as we don’t generally list large national chains such ad TGIF Friday’s, Applebee’s or any of the other large chains here in town that have huge advertising budgets.
We think it is important to support our locally owned dining establishments.
As you click through some of our restaurant links, they may take you to an advertisement for the respective establishments that comes from another website. We do this because it does provide online information for that establishment and often a valuable coupon to boot! A click through on Red Chopstix or Original Mike's will demonstrate this.
In the coming weeks we will continue to upgrade and add services to our site, as well as serve up news and opinions, to make it a must-stop as you do your daily surfing.
