Do the Dems and Charlie Brown desire a race against McClintock?

With close to half of the votes counted, former congressman Doug Ose is losing badly to Southern Californian career politician Tom McClintock. The current gap is about 54% to 39% in McClintock's favor.

If this trend continues, McClintock will have to relocate from Elk Grove or Southern California or wherever he currently lives to someplace in the Fourth congressional district.

Considering the money Ose poured into the campaign, his experience in congress and his name recognition, the gap of defeat is surprising. We can't help but wonder if Democrats in the fourth crossed over and voted for McClintock.

After all, it will be much easier for Brown to paint McClintock as a John Doolittle surrogate that the more moderate Ose.
