Police hold news conference at scene of two year old murder, hope reward will help flush out leads

This morning Elk Grove police held a news conference announcing that a $5,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest for up to four unknown suspects thought to have murdered 15-year old Robert Maisonet.

The news conference was held on Franklin Blvd. near Tegan Rd., not far from where Maisonet was killed. Police believe Maisonet was pummeled to death by three or four teeange boys described as either Hispanic or Asian. There is no known motive.

The reward money has been provided by the Carol Sund/Carrington Foundation. Anyone with information regarding the crime are urged to contact Elk Grove police (see story below). Tips can be anonymous.

After the initial conference, Elk Grove police public information officer Christopher Trim answered questions from the media.
