ELK GROVE, CA – The City of Elk Grove and Elk Grove Unified School District announced final plans for the annual Elk Grove High School Homecoming Parade route.

In spirit of the District’s 50th anniversary and parade Grand Marshal Olympian Stephanie Cox-Lopez, the parade will occur on the traditional route on Elk Grove Boulevard from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, October 17.

Elk Grove Boulevard will be closed between E. Stockton Boulevard /Emerald Vista Drive and Elk Grove-Florin Rd. Drivers are encouraged to take the following detours:

Elk Grove Boulevard:

* Eastbound traffic will be directed to turn north or south at E. Stockton Boulevard/Emerald Vista Drive
* Westbound traffic will turn right at Elk Grove-Florin Road

Williamson Drive:

* Southbound traffic should turn right onto westbound Elk Grove Boulevard
