Two juvenile males and one adult attempt shotgun robbery, Elk Grove Police catch juvy suspects in Sac
Elk Grove Police arrested two juvenile males and 22 year old Orlando Rhinehart yesterday after the three suspects attempted an armed robbery.
The incident started at 8:57 pm when the three suspects attempted an armed robbery with a shotgun on two victims on the 6000 block of Adobe Springs Way in Elk Grove. After the suspects demanded property, the victims ran to a nearby residence.
Two of the suspects, Rhinehart and one of the juveniles, fled on foot and were observed getting in a four door white sedan which fled the scene. An Elk Grove patrol unit spotted a vehicle matching the description traveling north on Franklin Blvd. from Calvine Rd.
The patrol unit attempted an enforcement stop when one of the juvenile suspects drove through several residential streets in Valley Hi area. One of the juvenile suspects who was driving stopped the vehicle and fled on foot. The other juvenile suspect then resumed driving the vehicle.
The second juvenile driver stopped the vehicle and fled on foot but was apprehended. A search of the vehicle revealed a stolen shotgun.
With the assistance of Sacramento Police, the other juvenile suspect (the first driver) was apprehended on the 4100 block of Equinox Way.
