Aside from the usual arrests Elk Grove police make for public intoxication or DUI, this weekend police made three arrests for financial type crimes.

On Friday, 20 year old Brooke Phillips and 28 year old Sinuon Sam for alleged embezzlement of the TJ Maxx store in Elk Grove. No further details are available.

Police also arrested 39 year old Nekoid Marshall at the Long's Drug Store on Elk Grove Blvd on Friday. Police allege Marshall attempted to a fictitious check and use a California drivers license belonging to someone else.

With the continuing deterioration of the economy, we can expect to see these types of crime on the increase.
