Elk Grove Police made arrests in two separate domestic disputes that turned violent.

In the first case, 31-year old suspect Latoya Houston was involved in a verbal argument yesterday afternoon when she armed herself with scissors and swung at the victim causing a small laceration on his body. Houston was arrested and transferred to county jail.

The second incident occurred early this morning when 54-year old suspect Eugene Macahilsa became involved in a verbal argument with the two victims. According to police reports, Macahilsa pulled one of the victims out of her bedroom by the hair causing injury.

When the second victim intervened, Macahilsa punched the victim in face causing injury. Macahilsa was arrested and transferred to county jail.

In both cases the victims were issued protective orders against the suspects.
