Elk Grove Police Arrest Juvenile For Mugging

Elk Grove Police arrested a 13 year-old male yesterday for an assault that occurred last week.

According to police reports, on Thursday, March 12 at 4:00 pm, the suspect approached the victim from behind, pulled off the victims backpack forcing him to the ground. Once on the ground, the suspect stole an MP3 player and fled on foot. The assault took place on the 9900 block of Sorentino Drive.

Through investigating efforts, police were able able to identify the youth and arrested him. The juvenile was transferred to juvenile hall.
