Elk Grove Road Alert: Sheldon Road Closed Monday And Tuesday

Union Pacific Railroad, in coordination with the City of Elk Grove Public Works Department, will be performing significant track maintenance work at major railroad crossings in Elk Grove, requiring the City to close multiple roads throughout the Elk Grove, beginning March 16.

The following closures and detours have been established:

Dates: March 16 and 17

Closure: Sheldon Road, between Elk Grove-Florin Road and Freesia Dr.

Detour: Westbound motorists will be directed around the project by taking Elk Grove-Florin Road north from Sheldon Road to Calvine Road. Eastbound motorists will be directed around the project by taking East Stockton Blvd. south from Sheldon Road to Bond Road.
