Elk Grove Police Arrest Four Juveniles After Helicopter, K9 Chase

Elk Grove Police arrested four juveniles late last night following a chase that included use of the Sacramento County Sheriff's helicopter and local K9 units.

According to police reports, the four suspects were spotted by officers in a reported stolen car. Before police could apprehend them, the four youth fled the vehicle.

Officers established a perimeter using the helicopter and the K9 units in the area of Big Horn and New Country. Two of the suspects were found hiding in a nearby shed with one of them requiring on-the-scene medical attention after being injured by one of the K9 officers.

The third youth was captured after he tried breaking the perimeter on foot and the other youth was detained near the vehicle. Reports did not identify were the suspects were from or where they were transferred to after being arrested.
