Elk Grove Police arrested 29-year old Jack Pickens of Elk Grove Saturday afternoon after he failed to stop at the scene of an accident.
According to police reports, Pickens was allegedly involved in a vehicle accident near Elk Grove Boulevard and Stonelake Club Drive but failed to stop. A witness followed Pickens into Sacramento and called police.
Elk Grove officers located the suspect who left his vehicle and fled on foot. Officers apprehended Pickens on the 7100 block of Surreywood.
The suspect was arrested and transferred to the county jail. There were minor injuries associated with the collision.
Later Saturday afternoon Elk Grove Police also arrested 39-year old suspect Steve Spitter of Sacramento for being the possession of a stolen car. A search of Spitter revealed him to allegedly be in possession of narcotics and burglary tools.
The suspect was arrested and transferred to the county jail.
