An Elk Grove man was arrested Wednesday afternoon on suspicion of being in possession of two stolen cars.

According to Elk Grove Police, they received a report of suspicious activity on the 9300 block of Sierra Spring Way involving a white Toyota. Witnesses said they saw 19-year old suspect Jamar Alexander leave the car and walk toward the house.

Police determined the Toyota was stolen and located another nearby car that was reported stolen. Officers located Alexander and another person at the residence and detained both for questioning.

After being positively identified by a witness as the person leaving the Toyota, Alexander was arrested and transferred to the county jail.
