Elk Grove Police Arrest Suspect in Hit and Run Accident

A Sacramento lady was arrested early Saturday evening after she was involved in a hit and run accident that led to a vehicle pursuit.

According to Elk Grove Police, 31-year old suspect Natalie Martinez was involved in a hit and run accident on southbound Highway 99 and fled the scene. Officer soon located the suspect driving her vehicle near Calvine Road and Power Inn Road.

When officers tried to initiate a stop, Martinez allegedly did not stop and led officers on a short pursuit. Once Martinez was stopped, officers were able to determine she was impaired.

The suspect was arrested and transferred to the county jail.
