Will review and give guidance to city charter commission

The Elk Grove City Council will face a full regular and closed session agenda as it convenes the Wednesday, July 22 meeting.

The closed session, which starts at 4:30 PM, includes a employee performance review of city manager Laura Gill and city attorney Susan Cochran. The council will also discuss future memorandums of understanding between the city and the Elk Grove Police Officers Association.

The city council has been lobbied to investigate alleged unprofessional conduct by Gill and Cochran. Results from performance reviews are generally not announced unless there is an action requiring public notice.

On the regular agenda, the council will hear and or discuss 20 items. Included will be consideration of service changes for the city's e-Tran bus service, modification of bus service transfer fees, revision of planning planning application fees and a review of the charter commission draft charter.

The regular meeting is scheduled to start at 6:00 PM but could be delayed depending on the length of the closed session.
