An Elk Grove man was robbed at gunpoint yesterday morning by four school-aged males while waiting for a bus.

The incident, which happened at a bus stop on the 8500 block of Elk Grove-Florin Road, began when three of the suspects left a car and approached the victim. The trio demanded the victim empty his pockets when of the suspects display a small caliber semi-automatic handgun.



After taking the victim’s possessions, the three suspects area and got in the awaiting vehicle driven by the fourth suspect. Elk Grove Police officers responded to a call and located the vehicle.

Officer initiated an enforcement stop and detained the four suspects. The victim was able to positively identify the car and all four suspects. 

A search of the vehicle revealed the firearm used in the commission of the alleged crime. The four 17-year old's were arrested and transferred to juvenile hall. 

It is not known by police if the suspects were currently enrolled students.

Soon, this type of crime will be very common in EG.

EG is on a downward spiral. Maybe EG should be called Ghetto Grove. It's almost there anyway.
