Police also make numerous DUI, domestic violence arrests


An Elk Grove woman was arrested Saturday night after she allegedly tried to run over a pedestrian.

According to police reports, officers responded to a service call for a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed and doing “donuts” in the vicinity of Elk Grove-Florin Road and Mohammed Circle. Upon arrival, officers discovered a citizen had already detained 46-year old Debra Bair.

Bair allegedly was driving at a high speed and intentionally trying to run over a pedestrian on the sidewalk when she collided with a parked car. The suspect was arrested and transferred to the county jail.

DUI, domestic violence arrests keeps officers busy

Elk Grove Police also had a busy weekend getting drunk drivers off the road and responding to domestic violence calls.

From Friday night until this morning, police also made 10 DUI arrests and four domestic violence arrests.
