A Sacramento man was arrest yesterday in connection with a shooting that took place on Halloween night.

According to Elk Grove Police reports, 24-year old Irvin Cook of Sacramento was arrested in Yuba City by the Yuba City Police Department and the California Department of Corrections fugitive apprehension team after a brief foot pursuit.

In the Halloween night incident Cook was involved in a verbal argument on the 9200 block of Elk Grove Boulevard that escalated into a fist fight that lead to the victim being shot in the abdomen. Cook fled the area at the time and was considered armed and dangerous.

After taking custody of Cook, Elk Grove Police transferred the suspect to the county jail.
