City to Host Sexual Assault Prevention Seminar

From the dangers of “sexting” to safe computer usage for children, the Elk Grove Police Department and W.E.A.V.E (Women Escaping A Violent Environment) will be hosting a Sexual Assault Prevention Seminar on Tuesday, March 23, 2010.

The seminar is designed to raise awareness in the community about issues related to sexual assaults. In addition to providing protection strategies for preventing assaults, information will be presented regarding safe computer procedures, protecting children from sexual assault, the dangers of “sexting” and safety planning.

The seminar will take place at 8400 Laguna Palms Way (City Council Chambers) from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and is open to the public. Seating will be limited, so please arrive early. For more information please contact Officer Christopher Trim (916) 627-3709.
