“He is waiting to greet us someday, he is in every step we take, he’s in everything we do, every breathe we take, every beat of our hearts…He is the like the wind. You can not seem him, but you will always feel him.”

Marcus Rondez, a beloved son, brother, cousin, nephew, uncle, godfather, friend, teammate, and coach. He left this earth on May 30, 2010 to go back home and fly with the angels above.

Marcus graduated from Elk Grove High School in 2008. Hundreds of people watched him play football and run track all four years, including being a part of the 4x1 relay team setting a school record and many honors in football his senior year with All Metro Offensive Team as the biggest one. He was a phenomenal athlete and an unforgettable human being. He was extremely involved in the community and donated countless number of hours coaching for the Elk Grove Jr Thundering Herd organization.

The Marcus Rondez Memorial Fundraiser and Carwash will be Saturday June 5th starting at 9am and will go all day. It will be in the California Family Fitness Center Parking lot located at 8569 Bond Road. We encourage everyone to come volunteer and help raise money for the Rondez family as well as Celebrate Marcus’s Life. Bring any supplies you may have: towels, sponges, soap, etc. There will be 2 DJ playing to keep things lively, a snow cone machine as well as food and water for all volunteers. There will also be a fundraiser following the car wash at Dos Coyotes Restaurant from 5pm-10pm. It is located at 8519 Bond Road. Just say you are here for Marcus’ Fundraiser and a portion of the money will go to the Rondez Family.

Anything will help.

Please contact Ryan Rondez if you’d like to donate anything or have any questions at (916) 230-0071

Marcus, you will live within all of us forever. You have made an impact on more people than you will ever know. Keep shining down us. We know we will all meet with you again one day.

Marcus, we will never know why you chose this path but I hope you found the peace you were looking for. I hope you're looking down at what is going on with the outpouring of love and support from your friends and family......nobody can be loved as much as you are! Your smile, personality and laughter fill my heart with joy. Your joking around with Coby and Devin is something I will never forget. You are missed but will never be forgotten. May you rest in peace. -- Uncle Tim Lehman --

Please come by the car wash on Saturday and help celebrate the life of Marcus Rondez.
