The Elk Grove Police Officers’ Association (EGPOA) today announced their endorsement of Gary Davis for re-election to the Elk Grove City Council The EGPOA citied his role in helping reduce crime locally over the last 4 years.

“You need everybody’s cooperation, from every patrol car to every council member, to make a community safer 4 years in a row,“ Dan Koontz, EGPOA President said. “It helps that Gary Davis has a firm grasp of what it takes to keep residents more secure. That not only means supporting police on the street, but promoting jobs and encouraging local business so that Elk Grove can be a better place to live, work, and raise our children.”

“It means a lot to me that the Elk Grove POA endorsed me for City Council,” Davis said in response to the endorsement. “We have come so far and I am really looking forward to what we can continue to accomplish together. Consecutive years of reduced crime are no accident. A great deal is owed to the service and professionalism of our officers.”

And where is the endorsement in the other race? Pat Hume will never get the EGPOA's endorsement because of his treatment of them and rightfully so. He has thumbed his nose at our police department for four years.

Will EGPOA endorse one of the other two candidates, George Murphey or Davies Ononiwu?

But if they stay neutral, hopefully the POA will come out as to why Hume didn't get the endorsement so that the voters have yet another reason why Hume should not be reelected!!
