Today's mailer of the day comes from Elk Grove City Council member incumbent Pat Hume. The theme for the mailer is Pat Hume: Taxfighter.
As was asked during last night's city council meeting, is Hume solely responsible for cutting city costs?
During the public comment section of the meeting, Hume, it was pointed out, has taken sole credit for reducing the city's cost. One astute speaker correctly noted the actions taken to reduce city's cost were a collaborative effort between the city's professional staff and the entire city council.
"This is a group effort," the speaker said. "It is not just one individual."
We agree.
Hume's accomplishments after four years as the District 2 representative, excluding his efforts to cram the sphere of influence application down the throats of the good people of Elk Grove, is non-existent. Can anyone list any accomplishment that Hume initiated on his own short of driving his strongest 2006 supporters to his opponents camp?
We didn't think so.
