Elk Grove man stabbed, hospitalized following attack

An Elk Grove man was attacked and stabbed last night.

According to Elk Grove Police reports, the 48-year old male victim permitted an unknown white male suspect into a self storage facility on Union Park Way. As soon as the first suspect entered the facility, a second white female assailant entered and displayed a firearm.

After a brief struggle, the suspects struck the victim several times and then stabbed him in the lower abdomen. The suspects then fled in a dark colored SUV.

The victim walked across the street where Elk Grove Police were contacted. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment and is reported to be in stable condition.

EGPD detectives are investigating the crime.
