EG Police assist Sac County Probation in arrest

With the assistance of the Elk Grove Police Deaprtment, the Sacramento County Probation aphrehended a suspect who resisted arrest.

According to police reports, the Sacramento County Probation department was attempting to take 28-year old Ong Thao into custody on the 5200 block of Olivehurst Way when the suspect fled on foot into a residential neighborhood. Officers located the suspect a short distance away hiding in bushes.

When Thao refused to leave the bushes, an EGPD K9 unit was deployed. The suspect was eventually taken into custody. The suspect was transported to the county jail after receiving medical treatment for the minor injuries from the K9 deployment.
