Elk Grove mom, with child in tow, arrested for shoplifting

An Elk Grove mother, who was accompanied by her daughter, was arrested late Friday afternoon on suspicion of shoplifting.

According to Elk Grove Police Department reports 36-year-old Stacy ❤ was detained by loss prevention personnel at the Nugget store on Elk Grove Boulevard for shoplifting while she was with her 10-year-old daughter. Responding officers arrested the suspect for petty theft and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Smith was transported to the county jail, and the juvenile was released to a relative.
