Attacking being investigated, possible hate crime

The Elk Grove Police Department is asking for the community’s help in identifying the person responsible for an aggravated battery that took place earlier this week in the parking lot of the Strike’s Family Entertainment Center.

On June 5, 2011 at 11:19 p.m., the suspect (pictured below) confronted 26-year-old Sacramento resident Seth Parker in the parking lot. The unidentified suspect punched Mr. Parker in the face after a verbal argument.

The suspect then fled with another unidentified individual through the parking lot into a residential neighborhood. As a result of the punch, Parker suffered several facial fractures.

Alleged attacker at Strikes
The suspect who threw the punch was described as an Hispanic male adult, 20 years of age, five feet eight inches tall (5’8”), one hundred thirty to one hundred fifty pounds (130-150 lbs.). The suspect had short hair, and was wearing a black shirt, baggy blue jeans with black and white athletic shoes. The second suspect was described as a Hispanic male adult, thirty (30) years of age, who was wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans.

Anyone with information regarding this aggravated battery is asked to call the Elk Grove Police Department Detective Bureau at (916) 478-8060 or Crime Alert at (916) 443-HELP (4357). Callers to Crime Alert can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.00. Tips can also be sent via SMS text message by entering CRIMES (274637) on a cell phone, followed by Tip732 (agency identification number) and the message.
