Parolee found to be in possession of stolen property

An Elk Grove man was arrested late yesterday morning after reportedly fighting with neighbors and getting naked.

According to Elk Grove Police reports, officers were dispatched to the 7400 block of Welsall Court after getting reports of an in-progress disturbance. Responding officers learned that 38-year-old Marlin Jones was upset with a neighbor who turned off a water hose from Jones' that was flooding the street.

In response Jones reportedly place narcotics paraphernalia on the victims car and attempted to enter the victims house. The victim attempted to block Jones' entry and a struggle ensued.

Another neighbor saw that was going on and went to her car and called EGPD. While this neighbor was in her car, the suspect came over to the car and stuck his arm through the driver`s side window and damaged the front driver`s side window.

When officers arrived, Jones displayed objective signs of impairment, was standing in the street, would not follow officers’ instructions and was highly agitated. The suspect then reportedly took his clothes off in the middle of the street and was completely naked from the waist down.

Jones finally complied with officers instructions when a Taser was displayed. The suspect was detained and placed in a restraint device due to the fact the he was uncooperative.

A records check revealed that Jones was on parole and a search of his residence led to the discovery of marijuana and stolen property. Jones was arrested and transferred to the county jail.
