Although the general election is still six months away and Elk Grovians will not see the tidal wave of mailers start appearing until after Labor Day, with the primary a little less than three weeks away, we are getting our first taste.

On the Democratic side incumbent Dr. Richard Pan, who moved to the district for this run, is presumptive leader and one of his possible opponents is Elk Grove Republican City Council Member Sophia Scherman. This is a slate mailer not a piece from Scherman

Maybe Scherman's past bundlers don't see how they will personally benefit as much with her at the State level, as opposed to when they were able to rape and pillage Elk Grove while she sat on Council? Hence, the lower budget approach.

I received this mailer also and what was interesting was it states "stopped efforts to raise property taxes."

For the life of me, I can't recall when this might have happened. Anybody have a clue when there was an effort to raise property taxes?
