Unfortunately one of the Elk Grove welcome signs along Highway 99 was hit by taggers. We are not sure when the "artwork" was done, but as of Saturday afternoon, the taggers work was still visible on the backside of the Sheldon Road and Highway 99 sign.
Elk Grove Police verified the RKN tag is known to be associated with the Red Krew Nortenos street gang. Public works officials have been notified so the tag can removed.

I believe according to the latest edition of the Gangbangers Thesaurus, "RKN" translates to "Welcome to Elk Grove, the New South Sacramento"
